Evening Standard reporter Jack Rosser thinks Wilfried Zaha will be frustrated in his efforts to leave Crystal Palace once again.

Zaha has told Palace he wants to leave the club after enjoying another impressive season at Selhurst Park.

The Ivory Coast international scored 11 goals in 31 appearances last term and this is not the first time Zaha has been itching to leave Palace.

Will Zaha still be at Palace at the end of the transfer window?

Zaha also announced his intentions to depart in the summer of 2019 and 2020, but no move has materialised.

Everton failed to agree a fee with Palace two years ago, while Arsenal have been regularly linked with the 28-year-old.

Palace chairman Steve Parish has confirmed Zaha will only be allowed to leave Selhurst Park this summer if the offer meets their expectations.

But Rosser does not think any suitors will come close to Palace’s price tag for the former Manchester United man, who has made 393 appearances and scored 68 goals across two spells for the club.

How old was Wilfried Zaha when he joined the Crystal Palace academy?

Speaking exclusively to Football FanCast, he said: “There will always be clubs that are interested in him but, frankly, none of them will ever value Zaha as high as Crystal Palace do.

“Parish was quite canny coming out saying we will let him go if there’s a good enough bid, but it’s going to take a lot of money for it to be a good enough bid in his eyes.

“There hasn’t been any concrete interest. The closest anyone has come over the last couple of years is Everton.”
