Real Madrid transfer news – updates on Camavinga and Mbappe; Inter interest in Jovic

Kylian Mbappe targeted after refusals to sign contract extension’

Real Madrid has long been interested in French superstar Kylian Mbappe, and Florentino Perez could be set to get his man after the French international has dropped more hints at his desire to move away from Paris Saint-Germain.

Spanish publication Marca claims that the World Cup winners mind remains unchanged as to how he intends to move his career forward, despite whatever business PSG may undertake this summer and that includes if they are successful in their pursuit of fellow French international Paul Pogba.

Mbappe is viewed as a key piece of the next major rebuild at the Santiago Bernabeu that will look to bring in big names with big potential, while the Frenchman remains inspired by the career of Cristiano Ronaldo and the chance to settle in Madrid would go a long way to emulating the career of Portuguese icon.

It is unclear whether or not late negotiations this summer could see Mbappe move capitals this season but at the very least, should no breakthrough from PSG’s end come to fruition, it is likely he will begin a new chapter in 2022-23.

Real Madrid favored by Eduardo Camavinga over Manchester United

Eduardo Camavinga could emerge as a legitimate transfer target this summer for Real Madrid after the French youngster has rebuffed interest from Premier League giants Manchester United.

Camavinga, whose contract with Stade Rennes is entering its final year, has rapidly developed after making his Ligue 1 debut in 2018-19 and has spent the last two seasons in the heart of the midfield for Les Rouge et Noir.

The 18-year-old full French international has been on the radar of Europe’s top clubs over the last two summers and Manchester United has attempted to swoop in for a deal with Rennes looking to sell before the window closes rather than losing him on a free this time next year when his contract runs down.

But talks with Camavinga’s camp have not gone well at current, and it has been reported by the Manchester Evening News that the club has not been encouraged after opening discussions with the player’s representatives. With the main Los Blancos midfield trio beginning to show it’s age, Camavinga would signal the perfect long-term investment at an affordable price point for the club to begin its restructuring on the pitch should they pounce on the opportunity.

Luka Jovic to be loaned again; contingent on Inter sales

Out of favor Serbian center forward Luka Jovic could once again be out the door from the Spanish capital this summer with rumored interest brewing from Serie A champions Inter Milan.

Jovic, who set the world alight during his time at Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga, has failed to hit anywhere near the same level he achieved in Germany and was sent out on loan back to Frankfurt in the second half of last season after just 2-goals in 32-appearances for Real Madrid in a year and a half.

Inter could well face the possibility of losing Romelu Lukaku this summer should Chelsea be unable to acquire Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, but more importantly, any deal for Jovic (rumored to only be a loan) would hinge on the club being able to shift one of Alexis Sanchez or Andrea Pinamonti.

The Italian champions are overloaded with options through the center forward channel, having no fewer than eight players in the first-team at current baring any possible deals this summer. But the acquisition of Jovic – which could be a 2-year loan deal – would give boss Filippo Inzaghi quality depth even without Lukaku should the Belgian record goal scorer leave the San Siro this summer.
