Man United receive update on Marcus Rashford recovery
Many Red Devils faithful will be delighted with the news that Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford could be nearing his return to first-team duties in the wake of a fresh update on his recovery period.
According to TimesSport chief football writer Henry Winter, Rashford is currently ahead of schedule in his timetable, and England man looks set to step up his training regimen appropriately.
Marcus Rashford’s recovery is ahead of schedule. He’s so focused on regaining fitness after his shoulder op that he’s putting in three sessions a day of rehab. Likely to step up training imminently. #MUFC #ENG

Rashford has yet to feature for Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s outfit this term after a summer away with England at Euro2020 and subsequently going through shoulder surgery to repair a long-standing injury dating back to late 2020.
United will have been thankful that their summer recruitment plan included the purchases of two additional attacking options to the squad ranks at Old Trafford through moves for Cristiano Ronaldo & Jadon Sancho, making the blow of Rashford’s absence far easier to manage.
Sancho under pressure to deliver given injury update
Jadon Sancho’s situation at United is hardly one to write home about after his high-profile move to the Red Devils this summer from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.
The former Die Schwarzgelben wunderkind only saw thirty-minutes of action in United’s shock 2-1 defeat at BSC Young Boys last night in their opening Champions League group stage clash, being removed before half-time after being included in Solskjær’s XI.

It was an abysmal display from a player who came with great expectations after being arguably the best wide player in Germany during his time in the Ruhr valley, and the impending return of Sancho to first-team duties should justifiably apply pressure for the England international to perform to a level that is commensurate with his ability as well as the club’s goals for the current season.
Should Rashford return to full-fitness before Sancho finds his footing at his new charge, there is every cause to suggest that Rashford could be reinstated as a first-choice option on the right side of United’s preferred front-four.
