According to the reports, The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to request Cricket South Africa (CSA) to postpone the India tour of South Africa by a week, and one Test match is set to be removed from the three-match Test series.

India are set to travel to South Africa for a nearly seven-week assignment which will begin on December 17. During the tour, India will play three Test games, three One Day Internationals and four T20 Internationals across four venues – Johannesburg, Centurion, Paarl, and Cape Town.

According to TOI, there is a possibility that instead of three matches in the Test series, two matches will be played in the India tour of South Africa. However, there will be no changes made in the ODI and T20I series.

We might request CSA to postpone the series by a week and will then declare the schedule,” top BCCI sources said on Thursday.

Also, it is being told that BCCI understand their commitment towards international boards, and they will try their best to make sure the series goes as per schedule by maintaining the safety of players.
